Launch of Charter of Political Parties in Northern Ireland Working for a non-Racist Society

On Friday the 15th of April at 12:00, representatives from Sinn Fein, the SDLP, the Alliance Party and the Green Party met to sign NICEM’s Charter of Political Parties in Northern Ireland Working for a non-Racist Society.
Speeches were given by party representatives - including Jennifer McCann from Sinn Fein, Claire Hanna from the SDLP, David Ford from the Alliance Party and Dr. Daniel Barrios-O’Neill from the Green Party. These were followed by speeches from Chief Executive Virginia McVey of the NI Human Rights Commission, Chief Executive Evelyn Collins from the Equality Commission for NI and Chairman Peter Osborne from the Community Relations Council (click names for texts of speeches).
